Thomas Parnes, CPA, Partner A founding partner with PVA, Tom has over 20 years experience in the accounting profession. Graduating in 1977 from The University of Michigan with a BS in accounting and 3 years later adding his MBA, he is now the managing partner of Parnes, Velano, Martinez & Co. Katheryn Velano, CPA, Partner Also a founding partner of our firm, Katheryn Velano has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1986. She received her BS in accounting and MBA at Michigan State University in June 1986 and June 1989, respectively. Katheryn is a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Paul Martinez, CPA, Partner Paul joined Parnes & Co., CPAs in 1994 and became a Director of the Firm in 1996. Paul is a graduate of UCLA, receiving his BS in Accounting degree with honors in 1989, and a MS in Taxation from Texas University in 1994. He practiced with Arthur Andersen & Co. for 4 years before moving to Michigan to work with a public accounting firm.
